This coffee comes from the area that local farmers call Taman Dadar or flower garden. Comprised of the Curah Tatal and Kayumas villages, Taman Dadar is located at the eastern end of Java at an altitude of just under 4600 ft. and is the only small-hold non-government run estate. The "wet-hulled" process removes the outer skin of the red cherry with the pulping machine, usually late in the day. The mucilage-covered parchment is fermented for up to 32 hours before being washed and sun-dried on bamboo mats. The coffee farms of Taman Dadar are home to Erythrinia, Albizia and Leucaena trees for shade and food for livestock that supplies the fertilizer. Parkia beans, avocado trees and timber trees are abundant in the region.
This cup offers a sweet aroma with a smooth and full body. The coffee is nutty with hints of chocolate, cherry and low-acid fruit.
