It’s not about us, it’s about It's about education being the key to overcoming obstacles. It's about being conscious of what we do and how we do it. It's about discovering everyday what we don’t know and doing better the next time. It's being passionate about “ALL BE HAPPY” and finding ways to make it a reality.

While it’s not about us, someone has to do it. So here’s the team:

HUGH JACKMAN

It was Hugh’s visit to Ethiopia and his friendship with Dukale, a local coffee farmer, that inspired our efforts here at Laughing Man. His hands-on involvement, collaboration and thoughtful insight into the issues Laughing Man is hoping to address, are invaluable. Hugh’s genuine interest and hope for humanity are a source of great strength and belief in our motto "ALL BE HAPPY."

BARRY STEINGARD

Barry is a close friend of Hugh and a 25-year veteran in the coffee and restaurant business. The two came together on this idea in a moment of synchronicity. While attending A Street Car Named Desire in Brooklyn, Barry mentioned to Hugh that he and his son were getting back into the coffee business. Returning from Ethiopia and wanting to tell Dukale's Story, Hugh asked Barry if he wanted a partner.

DAVID STEINGARD

David was born and raised in New York City. He left his job as a criminal prosecutor in Brooklyn to return to his entrepreneurial roots and run the day to day business of Laughing Man. His wide array of experience in marketing, sales, law, writing, travel and his sincere interest in meeting and being of help to others provides a solid foundation from which to lead Laughing Man. He is proud and honored to be part of the Laughng Man team and join the good company of other businesses that believe commerce and community can grow together for the benefit of all. He lives in New York with his wife Cecilia and daughter Paloma, who are a source of daily inspiration and love.

QUEENIE FOK

Queenie Fok is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. She has an extensive background in tea and coffee and is a competing barista. Her standards of quality, beauty and love of what she does have made her an immediate part of the Laughing Man family.
